We are currently working with local schools to incorporate LOTC as part of each Adventure.
Numbers
Our preferred group size is 8 per Adventure which enables each student to maximise their experience. (Tunelling group size maximum 16; Kayaking/Open Canoeing have age variations.)The maximum number of students we can accommodate on site at any one time is 80. There is ample car parking for coaches, minibuses and cars. Hiring a double decker bus? Then be prepared for a short walk along the quiet country Lane (a dead end) as it will not fit under the railway bridge (13 feet height restriction) just 20 metres from the site entrance!
Just for you
If you are staying with us for a complete morning and/or afternoon period then please do picnic by the lake. If the weather is adverse then everyone can eat in the Adventure Hall (providing it is not being used for another group.) We will also make available a lockable room for bags etc. We do not sell snacks or drinks but teachers and adult assistants are welcome to retreat to our staff area for a brew!Prices/Discount
Single Day bookings: £60 per Instructor per hour. Total cost in excess of £1200 - 5% discount; in excess of £2000- 7.5% discount. If your party size is greater than 80 and you need to book over 2 or more days contact us for a quote.Regular weekly attendance as part of students sports option: £50 per Instructor per hour.
Disengaged Learner Support
Building on our successful delivery of W2L (Work2Learn) in Bristol and South Gloucestershire, we are extending our learner support programme for the academic year 2011-2012. So whether you are looking to visit us on a regular basis as part of an existing pre-planned in-house Learner Engagement programme, or would like to explore with us the range of possibilities when creating a Learner Engagement programme for your school or in designing a bespoke package for your pupils, then do give us a call. We recognise our need to be flexible in order to complement your timetable; the value of re-engaging with, more often than not, clever and talented young people; and that one size will not suit all. Building self esteem; providing new learning opportunities and having a vocational route to achievement are all key motivators by which to assist young people realise their potential.See our client list
