British Safety Council Risk Assessment
Course Description
This nationally recognised qualification focuses on the 5 step approach to Risk Assessment.
The course is highly practical and will entail a series of practise sessions aimed at identifying;
evaluating and recording potential risks. It pre-supposes no former knowledge of Risk Assessment or H&S.
The key elements covered are:
- Legal duties of the employer
- Appointment of a competent person
- Hazard identification
- Determining Risk levels
- Minimizing Risk
- Record keeping
- The need for Review
- Changes to Risk levels
This is a one day course which can either be held at our Training Centre or at the customer’s own premises.
Course content is supplemented by a Handbook for future reference.
Who should attend
All staff who are to be made responsible for undertaking Risk Assessments within their organisation.

Pen, paper, Lunch.
Certification
On completion of the course the BSC certificate in Risk Assessment is awarded.

Corporate customers: £50 per person. Charity employees and school staff: £40 per person.
