Emergency Procedures (Half Day)
Course Description
This course covers the key procedures to be undertaken should a young person (aged 12-15) be confronted with an incident
requiring them to manage the situation.
- Incident Assessment
- Summoning the Emergency Services
- Life saving priorities (DRSABC)
- Dealing with an unconscious casualty
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Bleeds; Burns; Choking; excessive exposure to the cold or heat; Shock
This is a 4 hour course. Course content is supplemented by a Handbook for future reference.
(Note that this course is the equivalent of the Scout Association’s Level 3 First Aid Staged Activity Badge
and is suitable for delivery to scouts aged 12+)
Who should attend
Any young person who wants to learn the basics of First Aid.
What to bring/wear
Wear casual clothing (young ladies should wear trousers/shorts.)
Certification
On successful completion of the course you will receive an in-house certificate evidencing the syllabus.
Prices
£300 for a group - maximum number of participants 12.
£30 per head where individually booked.
£20 per head for those still in full time education (£200 for a group of 12).
